Welcome To T.A.P.
EMPOWERING YOUNG MINDS THROUGH CREATIVITY
Top educators in the fields of theatre, music, dance, creative writing, public speaking and visual arts are dedicated to support and encourage the leaders of tomorrow for the betterment of our community. We meet each student where they are with enrichment programs designed to uplift and empower students of all skill levels, providing a safe space where they can stretch themselves to take risks and try new things. Current goals are to form a 501C3 non-profit and have a permanent home. Through public and private grants and funding, we hope to expand our reach to touch the lives of every child who wants to participate.
Use the power of theatre, art, music, movement and imagination to create lifelong bonds & unforgettable moments!

About T.A.P.
TAP was founded in 2011 dedicated to the principles of love and respect for the craft and programs that are student-centered, creating a community of artists and families who collaborate and support each other. We have done community outreach and free programs through Yonkers Public Library and Williamsbridge Oval Rec Center in the Bronx. We have brought our programs into various school districts, most recently ELT at School 9 in Yonkers. We funnel our resources into paying for professional instruction and supplies, but keep participation fees as low as possible, never turning away anyone who needs us.
Studies show that creative projects and hands-on learning can hone skills in literacy, math, history, science, public speaking, memorization, and research better than traditional programs. Students feel safe and confident expressing emotions while learning about discipline, commitment, teamwork, and taking pride in and ownership of their work. By becoming members of an ensemble, they gain a sense of belonging and are less fearful to stretch themselves creatively and emotionally.
