Spring 2025 “The Princess, The Genie & a Street Rat”

AUDITION WORKSHOP

Ready to nail your next audition? This workshop will help actors, singers, and dancers present their best selves in the audition room. This hands-on session will focus on boosting your confidence, honing your performance skills, and showcasing your unique talent so you can shine.

Participants will learn:

  • How to make a strong first impression.
  • Techniques to manage nerves and project confidence.
  • Tips for tailoring your performance to the audition’s requirements.
  • Feedback on your acting, singing, or dancing presentation.

Bring your skills to the next level so you feel empowered and ready to take the stage. This can prepare you for school auditions, musical theatre auditions, public speaking and other presentation, or of course for the auditions for our Spring Musical “The Princess, The Genie and a Street Rat.”

This workshop is by no means a requirement before auditioning for the show. However, it is a GREAT way to learn or brush up on the skills necessary to do well, AND to gain familiarity with the sides and music prior to Sunday.

Open to all experience levels, we provide the materials, you bring your talent, confidence and openness to push yourself outside your comfort zone.

Thursday February 27th 5:00 – 7:00pm                             Cost: $25

MUSICAL THEATRE WORKSHOP

Students who are serious about honing skills in voice, movement, acting, and all aspects of creating a musical theatre ensemble should take advantage of this opportunity to go through the entire process. We start with team building exercises to become a tight-knit group and feel safe expressing ourselves. From auditioning for our roles, to analyzing the characters and the script, to learning lines, singing songs, learning blocking and choreography, to costumes, sets, lights, sound and a final performance in front of a live audience, all the skills to be a part of a professional production are practiced and put to use. We take the given circumstances of the script to portray truthful human behavior onstage. These specially curated and edited experiences give each performer a moment to shine appropriate to their own comfort, age and experience level. Each child is allowed to feel special, successful, and confident, and have fun. Performance-based classes require commitment to attendance and learning our parts. Students who join Musical Theatre Workshop must be willing to work at home in addition to fully participating in all classes, attending dress rehearsals and a final sharing on stage where all are welcome to join us free of charge.

Auditions are for the purpose of casting roles – all registered students will be given a part appropriate to their experience and comfort.

Please carefully read about the expectations and the schedule before deciding to commit to this process and taking a role in the show. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS FOR MANDATORY DATES!

Parents and students will sign a contract to confirm their commitment to the cast and the show.
